Description
In the Middle School Social Studies Cohort, 6th-8th grade students will explore different aspects of human history from ancient to modern days. Students will focus on major thematic questions, such as: ‘How are societies formed?’ and, ‘How do individuals fit into their societies?’ Students will develop specific skills such as finding good sources, analyzing information critically, and presenting ideas. Each year will focus on different essential questions so that a student can attend 6th, 7th, and 8th grade without repeating content. The three-year cycle will include global history, American history, and Pacific Northwest history.
