Description
In the 6th-8th middle school language arts cohort, students will learn to analyze and express ideas. They will creatively engage with relevant guiding questions such as, ‘How can stories change the real world?’ Long-form texts in year one will include: Farewell to Manzanar, The Outsiders, and student-chosen free-reading books (at least one per semester). Shorter readings will be provided online. Note: the curriculum will repeat every three years, so that students who enter in 6th grade will not repeat any information in 7th or 8th.
